My Tiidelab Experience: 3.0

In the fast-moving world of technology, my recent experience at TIIDELab has been an amazing adventure. It's been a month filled with exciting learning, personal growth, and unforgettable moments. As someone who loves technology, I had high hopes for this journey, and TIIDELab has gone beyond my expectations. Let me tell you about the interesting things that happened in the past month and how they changed the way I see technology and personal development.

Learning About Data Structures and Algorithms:

We dived into the world of Data Structures and Algorithms, guided by our expert Mr. Kenny. It felt like going on a thrilling quest. We explored the complexities of Trees, uncovered hidden treasures in Heaps, and understood algorithms like solving ancient riddles. Through organized learning, hands-on practice, and working together, these complex ideas became understandable. This journey didn't just increase my technical knowledge; it also sharpened my problem-solving skills.

Improving Our JavaScript Skills:

We focused on JavaScript, the magic behind the web's interactivity. We aimed to master advanced concepts like functions, async and await, DOM manipulation, error handling, and promises. These skills allowed us to create dynamic and responsive web applications. The world of JavaScript is like a wizard's realm, and I can't wait to explore its deeper mysteries.

Working on Projects:
During this time, my Team and I focused on developing our app, Padipay. We put in all we learnt to good use.

Professional Development Classes:

One of the best experiences was attending professional development classes led by Mr. Shams. These classes taught us critical thinking using the "Six Thinking Hats" method. The interactive sessions were like brewing potions of wisdom, encouraging us to think critically, solve complex problems, and work together seamlessly.

Participating in the Model United Nations General Assembly:

One of the most exciting events was the 4th Model United Nations General Assembly which held on Friday, 29th September, 2023. I represented Ethiopia in discussions about using digital technology for global prosperity. Speaking on this big stage was thrilling. It improved my public speaking skills and connected me with the diverse and talented TIIDELab community. It showed me that our tech skills can make a positive impact on a global scale.

What's Next:

My journey so far has been incredible, from understanding data structures to mastering JavaScript, attending engaging professional development classes, and participating in the Model United Nations General Assembly. I've grown not only as a technologist but as a person.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter of this adventure. TIIDELab has not only expanded my technical knowledge but has also broadened my horizons. I'm ready to embrace the future with open arms and face new challenges and opportunities in this dynamic learning environment.
